Tap into your Emotional Eating Patterns to Learn How to Mindfully Eat!!
New e-course!
Covid 19 has been very stressful! I'm with you on that! Social distance, quarantine, masks, gloves…. The struggle is real! I understand that change and adjustment to this time has been challenging. I also know that many people are struggling and emotionally eating to cope with the stress, frustration, fear, loneliness, boredom, and the uncertainty of this situation. This tends to add an additional layer of stress to an already difficult situation.
At The Food and Mood Institute, LLC, a company I co-founded to provide online courses and educational programs for those who struggle, or parent a child who struggles, with food, mood and their body, or suffer from an eating disorder, we believe that freedom from food and body image struggles is possible and that we can develop a balanced relationship with food and our bodies by taking care of our feelings, nourishing our bodies in multiple ways, enjoying food, and being fully present for the ups and downs that we encounter in life.
I co-founded The Food and Mood Institute, LLC a couple of years ago with registered dietitian Yaneth Beltran, RD/LDN, CEDRD and Dr. Lissette Cortes. Our mission remains providing support through online education and self-reflection, learning healthy coping techniques and communication skills that help in the healing process of eating disorders. This is the reason why we are introducing our mini-“quarantine” e-course: Tap into your Emotional Eating Patterns to Learn How to Mindfully Eat. We hope that this course provides you with some insight about your emotional eating patterns and that you are able to become the observer of your own experience without judging it, but using it as a way to understand your relationship with food, feelings, and your body, and that you are able to learn more about mindful eating, and how dealing with emotions and being present with your food, can help!
This mini course contains three presentations that we are bringing to you as a way to support you during this trying time. Each presentation also has a practical exercise and a journal entry component so you can deepen your work and reflect on your experience.
